How do I cancel or defer my course?

Cancellations
Cancellations are managed directly by The Career Academy (TCA). To request a cancellation:

  • Complete the form here: Cancellation Form
  • You’ll receive confirmation within 3–5 business days.

Refunds

  • AU/NZ: You are entitled to a refund if you cancel within a 7-day cooling-off period.
  • UK/IE: You are entitled to a refund if you cancel within 14 business days.
  • After the cooling-off period, refunds are generally not available unless there are exceptional circumstances approved by TCA.

Deferrals / Pausing Your Course

If you need a break, you may request to pause your studies for up to 3 months by emailing: studentservices@thecareeracademy.com.

  • This pause can only be applied once during your enrolment.
  • While your course is on hold, you will not have access to course materials, mentor support, or live events.
  • After the 3-month hold, your access will automatically resume.
  • If you require additional time beyond the pause, you may need to purchase an extension.

Important Notes

  • Cancellations, refunds, and deferrals are all subject to TCA’s Terms & Conditions.
  • Extensions (beyond your original course duration or the one-time pause) incur additional fees.
  • If you are struggling to keep up with your studies, it’s often best to request a pause early rather than wait until your access is about to expire.
