Activities & Assignments

What activities/assignments do I need to complete?

During your course, you’ll complete various hands-on activities and projects where you can put your new skills into practice and receive valuable feedback from your industry mentor.

  • Knowledge Checks. After each lesson, you’ll complete a Knowledge Check—a short quiz that assesses your understanding of the key concepts presented in the lesson.
  • Activity: Create a Mood Board. This activity will help you apply your design style by creating a mood board and developing a design concept for a real or hypothetical landscape project.
  • Activity: Concept Ideation & Drawing. In this activity, you’ll observe a site and create a scaled drawing showcasing a functional and visually appealing landscape layout. This is an excellent opportunity to exercise your design problem-solving skills.
  • Final Project: Concept Presentation. In this final project, you’ll apply your course knowledge to a hypothetical design scenario, creating a detailed concept presentation. This project is an excellent opportunity to experience the stages of a professional design project and practise your problem-solving, creativity, and research skills.
